On January 17, 2025, Brook’s Burgers was featured on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. To celebrate, the Brook’s Burgers locations in San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach offered $5 tri-tip sandwiches that day. Being a big fan of tri-tip, I couldn’t resist and grabbed one for lunch.

My wife and I have been regulars at Brook’s since it opened in Pismo Beach, but I usually stick to my favorite burger, the Brooksie. This time, it was a nice change to try something new. The tri-tip sandwich isn’t part of their regular menu, though they do have two tri-tip dip options. The sandwich had a very generous portion of tri-tip. While it wasn’t the best tri-tip sandwich I’ve ever had, it was still pretty good!
