SLO County Homes -$9,900 Flat-fee Listing Service
Oh man, there are certain things you kinda expect to see on the Central Coast. McLintock’s was one of those for me. Either driving by Shell Beach to see if the “Immediate Dining Available” sign was lit or seeing the “show” at Farmers Market on Thursdays.
My first time going to McLintock’s was in 1979. I had lunch in downtown SLO during my freshman year at Cal Poly.
Not sure when the first time I had turkey nuts. The Shell Beach location was a must-go for the nuts (gobble gobble) and the blind folded water pouring. I used to take family and friends there when they first visited the Central Coast.
I’ll admit I hadn’t gone to McLintock’s for probably 8 or so years. Ever since I started sous vide’ing and cooking steaks to perfection, I quit going to restaurants for steaks.
I wonder what will be going into the Shell Beach and SLO locations? There really aren’t that many steakhouses around. AJ Spurs, Jockos, and Cool Hand Lukes are the ones I can think of.
I read that Alex’s BBQ is opening again in Pismo Beach but I don’t remember if they had steaks. I only went there for the ribs!
I decided to stop by today and take some photos before they started removing stuff.
